Abstract

Genotype-environment interaction is of undeniable importance for selecting genotypes, and this justify the spreading of the suitable methods for the analysis and interpretation of this interaction. The most popular method for analyzing the genotype-environment interaction in México is that of Eberhart and Russell. This method has been somewhat criticized, but with the formulations given by Mandel, Milliken and Graybill, and Shukla sorne of its disadvantages can be overcome. With data cited by Márquez in 1976 of six varieties of maize in nine environments, those modifications are presented.
