PROPOSAL OF COMBINED PROTOCOLS TO DETECT BEAN SEEDS RESISTANCE TO WEEVILS ATTACK

Abstract

In order to detect bean (Phaseolus spp) against seed resistance the attack of Beanweevils (Bruchidae), a new experimental protocol is
proposed, which combines methodological and statistical elements of other two protocols. With this new protocol, demographic and ethological parameters of oviposition are added to obtain reliable and verifiable results to differentiate degrees of resistance or susceptibility
of bean seeds.
