TRANSGENIC PLANTS: MYTHS AND REALITIES FROM A TECHNICAL POINT OF VIEW

Abstract

In the present review the technical aspects about a genetically modified plants and their construction (with the different used techniques) from transformation to regeneration of the plant, are discussed. It is also discussed, from a critical and technical point of view, some of the myths frequently associated with the risk and benefits about the use of the above mentioned technology.
