Abstract
Genetic variability is a basic foundation of our future food supply and the concentration of our efforts to enhance it must be a major priority. The use of somaclonal variation is a possible means of increassing genetic variability in a feasible manner. In the present paper, sumaclonal variation in patato and sugar cane are discussed.
