IN VITRO ROOT DEVELOPMENT OF Phaseolus vulqarjs L. AND ITS COMPARATIVE ANATOMICAL STUDY 1
Main Article Content
Abstract
The present paper deals with the morphological comparisons of different types of roots of Phaseolus vulgaris L., developed in vitro from leaves tissue and apical meristems against the normal root obtained from the seed. The roots developed in vitro were not completely similar to the normal from the citochemical and ultrastructural point of view. However, our results suggest the need to clarify those mínimum anatomical and biochemical characteristics required to establish in vitro associations. lt was found that in arder to develop this kind of cultures in vitro, no exogenous fitohormones were required. The physical condition of the CN culture
medium did not modify the pattern of root development.
