DIFFERENTIATION OF TWO TOMATO LINES AND THEIR HYBRID WITH MOLECULAR MARKERS
Main Article Content
Abstract
This work was done at the Molecular Biology Laboratory of the Universidad Autónoma Chapingo, during 1996. The main objective was to findgenomic similarities and differences among two lines of Lycopersicon esculentum Mill. (13-Nar indetermined habit, and THE-309 determined habit), and their hybrid, by means of RAPDs markers. A total of 101 DNA bands were obtained with six random primers of the G Operon kit. These bands were analyzed with the pc2 NTSYS program, using the genetic similarities simple group coefficient. The dendogram was done with the UPGMA cluster method. The DNA fingerprints allowed a clear differentiation among and within genotipes.
