Abstract
In the state of Durango, approximately 200,000 hectares of rainfed corn are planted each year, of which a large number are lost due to drought and the presence of early frosts.Since 1967, the INIA has been carrying out research work in the region called "Los Llanos", which includes part of the municipalities of Guadalupe Victoria, Pánuco de Coronado, Peñón Blanco, Cuencamé and San Juan del Río, to date with recommendations for varieties , sowing limits, fertilization and cultivation work, mainly (see Table 1).
