REPERCUSSION OF THE FARMING SECTION OF THE "MOMENTO" NEWSPAPER IN ZACATECAS

Abstract

The staff of the Calera Experimental Station of the Instituto Nacional de Investigaciones Forestales y Agropecuarias have published an Agricultural and Livestock Section in "Momento" journal of Zacatecas city, on sundays since 1988. After publishing this page in an uninterrupted way, a research was conducted with the aim of knowing the repercussion of this communication among the readers of this joumal in Calera municipality. To achieve the preceding, information was compiled by means of a questionnaire, which was applied among permanent readers of the Momento journal within the community indicated. Results showed that this section is widely red, it responds to the necessities of information of the receivers; moreover, the use of innovations is promoted for this publication and the growers are influenced to test and/or adopt new technologies.
