SYSTEMIC APPROACH TO PHYSIOTECHNICS AND THE DETERMINANTS OF YOUR CURRICULUM
Main Article Content
Abstract
The Physiotechnics courses of the Faculty of Agronomy of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (FAUANL) began in
1980 -spring semester- and in 1981 -autumn semester- for the graduate and undergraduate levels, respectively. At the undergraduate level, it is offered as an optional course, included within a package that covers Advanced Plant Physiology-Physiotechnics-Genotechnics, which is taught in the 8th semester of the Phytotechnics Specialty of the Agricultural Engineer Degree; The Master of Agricultural Production is a formal course. To date, a total of 167 students have studied at the undergraduate level and 59 at the postgraduate level, which are shown in Table 1. The Institution has physical support to carry out the practices required in the courses, such as are: experimental fields (Marín, Escobedo, Aramberri, Anáhuac), laboratories (Plant Physiology, Soils, Genetics, Botany, etc.) which are equipped with instruments to carry out some measurements of the topics taught (leaf area determinant, pump pressure, radiant energy determiner), Library, Greenhouse, Germplasm Bank and Computer Center. These resources have also been reflected in a series of experimental works and theses, at both levels of education. The above is a panoramic view of the interaction between institutions and Physiotechnics courses that takes place at FAUANL.
