Abstract

The purpose of this research was to evaluate the effect of seven combinations of rates and application frequencies of gibberelic acid (GA3) , applied to red raspberry cv. 'Heritage' at different dates under greenhouse conditions, at Chapingo, Méx. Results indicated that a single application of 50 ppm of GA3 accelerated the blossom date by up to 20 days in relation to the control, when plants were 33 cm high and had 12.4 nodes. Yield was increased by 37.4% with that single application; this increase, however, was not statistically significant. GA3 sprays did not significantly affect plant height or node number.
